ATHENS - Things are looking a little too sloppy right now for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Dawgs are coming off a not-so-impressive 41-31 win over Mississippi State and have a giant test coming up against the mighty Texas Longhorns.

The Bulldogs aren’t playing elite football, but help is on the way. Dawg Post gives the latest on several Georgia commits who put up monster numbers over the weekend.

First, we have to start at quarterback. 2025 four-star QB commit Ryan Montgomery is out for the season with an injury, but 5-star commit Jared Curtis‍ is having himself a fantastic junior season. The big 6-foot-3 215-pounder out of Nashville Christian (TN) had a career game over the weekend, going 26/39 for 371 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 78 yards and three more touchdowns on the ground, running through defenders all along the way.

For the season, Curtis is 106/156 (68%) for 1,624 yards and 18 touchdowns. He’s also rushed for 385 yards and 11 more touchdowns. He’s ranked as the No. 2 QB prospect and the No. 8 overall prospect in the 2026 class.

***DON’T FORGET YOUR FANDUEL BETS***

According to FanDuel, the Georgia Bulldogs are 3.5-point underdogs against the Texas Longhorns this weekend.

Then there’s Georgia’s newest commitment, four-star running back, Ousmane Kromah‍. The big, tackle-breaking back ran wild on Friday night against a very tough Coffee team. During his dominant performance, Kromah ran for a 59-yard touchdown run where he broke several tackles and took off down the field for one of the most impressive runs you’ll see all season long.

Another big performance came from wide receiver commitment, Landon Roldan. One of the state’s fastest players, this two-way standout helped lead his North Oconee team to a wild win over Eastside. Roldan was fantastic on offense, ending the game with 8 receptions for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns. Don't let his ranking fool you. The Georgia staff took Roldan’s commitment over others for a reason. He can absolutely fly and has been one of the state’s most productive receivers so far this season.

Of course, four-star tight end commitment Ethan Barbour‍ continues to shine for the mighty Milton Eagles. The 6-foot-3 240-pound pass-catcher hauled in two touchdown passes to lead his Milton team to a massive win over an incredibly talented Gainesville team. Barbour is one of the best tight ends in the country after the catch and proved it this weekend as he took his second touchdown 60 yards to the house. He’s a big-play machine who still isn’t ranked as high as he needs to be.

Elite wide receiver Talyn Taylor‍ continues to have a gigantic senior season. The Geneva Community (IL) standout is a smooth wideout who runs a great route and shows terrific hands and body control when making a play on the ball. He’s been unguardable all season long and went off again on Friday night. Leading his team to their seventh-consecutive win, Taylor caught five passes for 157 yards and one touchdown. So far this season, Taylor has caught 31 passes for 785 yards and 14 touchdowns. He’s found the endzone in all seven of his games and has scored multiple touchdowns in four of those seven games. He’s ranked as the No.8 WR prospect and the No. 45 overall prospect in the country.
