ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have landed a commitment from one of the top running back prospects in the country.

That would be in-state four-star, Ousmane Kromah‍.

The versatile, powerful 6-foot-1 215-pounder out of Lee County (GA) committed to Josh Crawford and the Georgia Bulldogs today over Florida State, Auburn, among others.

Through most of his recruitment, sources told Dawg Post that Florida State was the team out in front behind the scenes. Auburn was firmly in the mix, but sources say the Tigers cooled on him in the summer.

Kromah’s interest in Georgia grew more and more after Kirby Smart hired running backs coach Josh Crawford, and now the Dawgs have landed his commitment.

What is Georgia getting in Kromah?

Size, athleticism, and big-play ability.

Kromah’s a bigger back with a muscular frame who runs with authority. He breaks a lot of tackles, runs with balance, and does a great job of driving forward at the end of runs.

He’s physical, but he’s also a smooth runner. He’s slippery for a back his size and has enough speed and burst to take off down the field when he gets into the open field.

He shows natural athleticism with the ability to jump, spin, and maneuver his way around defenders. He’s got a nasty stiff arm and fights for every yard he can. He shows dependable hands out of the backfield and brings a level of physicality when protecting the quarterback in pass protection.

He’s been a major recruit for years now, and now he’s committed to the in-state Bulldogs. This South Georgia back knows how to work and should fit right into the culture at Georgia. He’s a tough-minded prospect who has his best football ahead of him.

According to FanDuel, the Georgia Bulldogs are massive 24.5-point favorites against the Auburn Tigers in Athens.

One of the more productive running backs across Georgia in the 2025 class, Kromah took off for 1,782 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior last year. He also caught 31 passes for 522 yards and 9 more scores.

As a senior this fall, Kromah has rushed for 635 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging eight yards per carry. He’s also hauled in 17 passes for 271 yards and two more touchdowns.

Kromah’s ranked as the No. 5 RB prospect and the No. 112 overall prospect in the country.

He becomes Georgia’s second running back commitment in the 2025 class, joining three-star Bo Walker‍. Georgia now has 22 verbal commitments in the 2025 class.
