ATHENS - UGA Football coach Kirby Smart said he was hopeful his No. 2-ranked Georgia Bulldogs would have several defensive linemen back for the game with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Mykel Williams, Jordan Hall and Warren Brinson all missed No. 1 Georgia's narrow 13-12 win at Kentucky two Saturdays ago. On Tuesday night, Kirby said that it was possible all three could be on the field - even if in limited form - against Alabama.
“Warren (Brinson) has continued to practice taking his rep load," Kirby told reporters Tuesday. "Mykel (Williams) has been overdue a little bit. I still don't know the timeline on Mykel. He's looked good running and taking some reps. Some light reps. Some rush reps. Some stuff he did today. It was his first day really getting out there and doing some things. I haven't talked to Ron (Courson), so I don't know. I want to watch the tape and be able to see that. Jordan (Hall) is still pushing through. Is that it? I feel good about Warren. Mykel's going to be close. Jordan is still trying to get into practice.”

The Bulldogs will face a ton of pressure on the road defensivly as Alabama’s offense is one of the most explosive in the nation.
“They've got explosive plays that are what would you call off-schedule explosive plays, and they've got on-schedule explosive plays,” Kirby said Monday. “So, when you have a chance at both those, it just increases your opportunity. And their explosives are super explosive. They're not talking about the 15-20 variety. They're talking about the 50-60-70 variety. They've got some really good, skilled players out on the perimeter that are explosive.”
Georgia’s game with Alabama kicks at 7:30 on ABC from Tuscaloosa.
