Kirby Smart and the No. 1-ranked Georgia Bulldogs got some tough news today regarding their 2025 four-star QB commit.

On Friday night, in the season-opener of his senior season, four-star Georgia commit Ryan Montgomery‍ suffered a knee injury that took him out of the game. Now, Montgomery has stated that he has an ACL injury that will end his high school career.

The Findlay (OH) gunslinger got the green light to commit to Mike Bobo and the Dawgs in mid-April and quickly accepted their offer, publicly committing on April 17th, giving Georgia their long quarterback commitment in the 2025 class.

According to FanDuel, the New York Jets have +160 odds to win the AFC East upcoming season.

A strong-armed, athletic quarterback with a promising 6-foot-3 215-pound frame, Montgomery is coming off a strong junior season where he completed 70% of his passes for 3,300+ yards and 38 passing touchdowns. He also rushed for 10 more scores during his massive 2023 season.

He was looking forward to his senior season, but now, his next journey will start in Athens, Georgia.

Montgomery is currently ranked as the No. 9 QB prospect and the No. 110 overall prospect in the country for the 2025 class. The Dawgs also have a commitment from 5-star Jared Curtis‍, one of the nation’s top overall prospects in the following 2026 class.
