Former UGA Football QB Stetson Bennett Strikes Again for LA Rams

ATHENS - Former UGA Football QB Stetson Bennett is back at it again - making plays in the fourth quarter to win.
Bennett threw a 47-yard touchdown pass to LA Rams WR JJ Laap with 9:48 to go in the game to give Los Angeles its second win of the pre-season. This time the Rams beat the Chargers 13-9 at SoFi Stadium.
Bennett ended his day going 17 for 31 for 213 yards and the game-winning touchdown as well as an interception. It was a recovery of sorts for the former UGA Football QB. He tossed four interceptions last week.
Bennett is fighting to secure his spot with the Rams after missing nearly a year of football addressing his mental health.

According to FanDuel, the Los Angeles Rams have +1400 odds to win the NFC Championship this upcoming season.
Bennett led Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs to back-to-back national titles. He was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2022.
For his career at UGA, Bennett passed for 8,428 yards and 66 touchdowns, despite only starting for two full seasons. He ranks in the top five in Georgia history in pass completions, passing yards, passing touchdowns, total offense, completion percentage, and average yards per play. Most impressively, he posted a 29-3 record as the Bulldog starting quarterback.
In three postseason games in 2022 (the SEC Championship, CFP Semifinal, and CFP Championship), Bennett completed 64-of-88 (72.8%) passes for 976 yards and 11 touchdowns while also running for three scores and only tallying one interception. For the full season, he was 310-of-454 (68.3%) for 4,127 yards and 27 touchdowns to go with a team-best 10 rushing TDs.
Meanwhile, former UGA QB and No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick Matthew Stafford is gearing up for his 16th season of NFL football. Stafford will start this season for the Rams. He led that franchise to a win in Super Bowl LVI.
