ATHENS - Back in the spring, four-star receiver Aaron Gregory told Dawg Post that Georgia wasn’t a team he thought was recruiting him as hard as others.
Now, it looks like things have changed.
Since that conversation with Dawg Post, the Douglas County (GA) pass-catcher has been to Athens several times, including a big visit this past weekend.
Gregory went to College Station on Friday to visit Texas A&M, and then when they landed back in Atlanta on Saturday, Gregory and his family drove straight to Athens to take in the end of Georgia’s big day. Gregory then caught up with Dawg Post again to get an update on the visit.
“I really enjoyed my visit. By the time we landed and got to Athens most of the group stuff was finishing up. I was able to be a part of a water relay/slip and slide so that was fun. I did get to spend some one-on-one time with Coach Coley to go over plays and just talk football. Overall it was a great visit to build relationships.”

According to FanDuel, the Georgia Bulldogs have -122 odds to win 11 games during the 2024 regular season this fall.
“I would definitely would say my relationship with Georgia is growing”, Gregory added. “Coach Coley is great. He’s not really a “pitch” type of recruiter. He’s a straightforward guy and I like that. He likes my play style, versatility, and knowledge of the game and thinks I would be a great fit for their program.”
As a prospect, Gregoery is a long, lean receiver who still brings plenty of muscle and level of toughness at 6-foot-2 175-pounds. Gregory’s ball skills are phenomenal and a big reason why he’s one of the very best receivers across Georgia heading into his junior season. He plays the ball well in the air and knows how to catch the ball at its highest point. He showed quick feet in and out of his breaks, good burst, and the ability to pick up big yards after the catch.
Gregory caught 41 passes as a sophomore last season for 795 yards and 8 touchdowns. He’s ranked as the No. 5 WR and the No. 30 overall prospect in the country for the 2026 class.
