ATHENS - As we’ve reported several times over the last few months, the 2025 class is loaded with talented offensive line prospects, and Georgia Bulldog Stacy Searels has the Dawgs in a strong position for some of the nation’s best.
While sources tell Dawg Post that 5-star OL David Sanders may be trending elsewhere, you can still expect Searels to still sign an impressive offensive line group in this current recruiting cycle.
Searels has one current commitment on board in four-star Mason Short and are in a favorable position for four-stars Juan Gaston, Damola Ajidahun and Dontrell Glover.
Georgia had another top offensive line prospect on campus over the weekend for an official visit, and that was four-star Jaylen Gilchrist. The giant 6-foot-4 305-pounder from Salem High School in Virginia earned his Bulldog offer back in April of 2022 and has family members who live Augusta who are “big” Georgia Bulldog fans.
Gilchrist was in Athens for his big official visit this past weekend and recapped his visit with Dawg Post.

According to FanDuel, the Los Angeles Dodgers have +270 odds to win the World Series this fall.
“Out of everything I experienced and learned at UGA, I’d have to say the overall transparency of the staff and community was top-notch”, Gilchrist said. “I felt like myself without having to fake anything. Their pitch to me was that if I like to work and get developed, then UGA is the place to be. They’re the best at what they do and the numbers prove that.”
As a prospect, Gilchrist is a dominant guard prospect with quick feet and a nasty style of play. He’s a bully, and he has no problem burying defenders into the ground. He plays with good leverage, attacking defenders with authority, driving them backwards with ease. His length allows him to get hands on his opponents early on, making it tough for defenders to shed his blocks. He shows outstanding lower-body strength, quick feet, and the ability to find linebackers at the second level. He’s a pancake machine and has an excellent frame that will allow him to add even more solid mass and muscle over time. His film speaks for itself, and it’s easy to see why he’s one of the top offensive line prospects across the country in the 2025 class.
Gilchrist is ranked as the No. 8 interior offensive lineman and the No. 99 overall prospect in the country. He also said that he wants to make a commitment “around the end of July”.
