ATHENS - Georgia Bulldog receivers coach James Coley is doing work on the recruiting trail right now, earning two commitments so far in the 2025 class.
4-star Talyn Taylor and 4-star Thomas Blackshear.
Coley is also sitting in an excellent position with several other major targets including 4-stars CJ Wiley, Travis Smith Jr., among others.
Now, there’s a new wide receiver target to know about in the 2025 class, and it’s North Oconee (GA) standout, Landon Roldan. One of the hottest prospects in the state right now, Roldan is a speedy, sure-handed wideout who has had an extremely strong spring, running a consistent 4.4 in the 40-yard dash at multiple camps over the last few months.
Roldan was in Athens for a 7-on-7 tournament with his North Oconee squad this week and stole the show, showcasing tremendous speed, ball skills, and big play ability. After a big day in Athens, Roland left with an offer from the Bulldogs.
“When I received the offer I was very thankful and blessed”, Roland said.”Especially with it coming from Coach Smart. UGA has become such a prestigious program in the past years with the two back-to-back national championships that receiving an offer from them was amazing news.”
As a junior last fall, the Athens-area pass-catcher hauled in 50 passes for 1,29 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also showed he can help in the run game, carrying the ball 14 times for 79 yards and three more scores. He was named Region 8-4A Athlete of the Year last fall and it’s easy to see why.
