ATHENS - The expectation is that UGA football will be a part of the first 12-team College Football Playoff at the end of the 2024 season.

Under Kirby Smart, Georgia made it to the 4-team playoff three times, going on to win the national championship on two of those occasions. Georgia fell short of the last 4-team playoff in 2023, along with a few other schools.
