ATHENS - The Georgia Bulldog recruiting train continues to roll.
This time, Kirby Smart lands a commitment from one of the top overall athletes across Georgia in three-star, Todd Robinson.
The electric playmaker played quarterback for the Valdosta Wildcats last fall and earned an offer from running backs coach Josh Crawford back on March 26th, but spent plenty of time with defensive backs coach Donte Williams during his official visit to Georgia the weekend of June 7th.
A prospect who saw his recruitment take off this spring, this South Georgia playmaker took official visits to Alabama and Georgia in early June, but it was the in-state Bulldogs who were able to land his commitment, giving Georgia a dynamic athlete with a high ceiling on both sides of the ball.
What will Robinson bring to Athens?
Speed, acceleration, and versatility.
One of the fastest prospects across South Georgia, Robinson is a natural athlete with excellent burst, acceleration, and breakaway speed. He can see the field well, follows his blocks, and can burst through for a giant gain on any particular play. He can elude defenders with ease, changes direction well, and can stay upright after initial contact. He’s tough to corral and almost unstoppable to run down from behind for defenders in the area.
As a junior last fall, Robinson ran through defenses at quarterback, rushing for over 1,000 yards and five touchdowns, averaging 8.3 yards per carry and hitting the 100-yard mark in five games.
He ran wild to end his junior season, rushing for 132 yards, 148 yards, 120 yards, and 167 yards over the final four games of the 2023 season.
Defensively, Robinson didn’t play much there as he was leading the offense, but his 5-foot-11 195-pound frame, natural athleticism, and promising ball skills should translate well to the Bulldog secondary.
Robinson is ranked as the No. 17 ATH and the No. 418 overall prospect in the 2025 class.
