ATHENS - The good news keeps coming for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs who are coming off another massive recruiting weekend.

As you know, Georgia landed 4-star DL Christian Garrett last night. That was a big, but expected pickup and someone Clemson was pushing hard for. Garrett had plans to make a commitment in late July, but after a successful visit to Georgia this weekend, the Bogart, Georgia native decided to go ahead and jump on board.

I’ve been told Georgia really made a move with 4-star OL Dontrell Glover‍. We were told this time last year Georgia "liked" him, but we didn’t exactly know where he sat on Georgia's board. It looks like he’s moved up Georgia's board this spring, and we would give Georgia the edge today in his recruitment. The Langston Hughes tackle told me he plans on committing on July 1st, but an earlier decision in June wouldn’t surprise me. The 6-foot-3 310-pounder is ranked as the No. 22 interior lineman and the No. 303 overall prospect in the 2025 class.

"My favorite part was just being in the environment in Athens and spending time with players & coaches. Their message was Just letting me know what they have set for me & it looks like greatness. Seeing how his o-line plays & how many guys he produced stands out about coach Searels. He’s recruiting me to play guard and center.”

Another in-state linebacker to keep an eye on is Wayne County 4-star linebacker, Tavion Wallace‍. Georgia already has two middle linebacker commitments, but it appears Wallace has a spot in this class if he wants to jump on board. He spent a lot of time with the current middle linebackers including 2024 5-star signee, Justin Williams‍. Sources say the Dawgs have put themselves in a really good position for the South Georgia defender. Wallace is ranked as the No. 3 LB prospect and the No. 58 overall prospect in the country.

As for 5-star OL David Sanders‍, sources say the visit went as well as it could possibly go. 4-star OL commit Mason Short‍ came back to Athens to accompany Sanders during the visit. The 5-star and his family are examining every little detail when taking these official visits, and sources say Georgia has checked every box so far for the Sanders family. Searel’s ability to develop and help put Georgia’s offensive tackles into the first round will keep Georgia towards the top for Sanders the entire way.

According to FanDuel, the Baltimore Orioles have +300 odds to win the AL East this year.

As for other prospects, four-star safety Lagonza Hayward‍ and four-star offensive lineman Juan Gaston‍ both took official visits to South Carolina this weekend. From what I’ve gathered, I still believe Georgia is the team to beat for both. 5-star EDGE target Isaiah Gibson‍ was also at South Carolina over the weekend, and sources say Georgia remains a real threat to flip the elite defender from Southern Cal.

5-star CB DJ Pickett‍ was in town, but sources say Georgia still has some ground to make up. After signing an elite cornerback class in the 2024 cycle, along with using a good amount of NIL funds, it’s easy to see why the best of the best in the secondary aren’t exactly looking Georgia’s way in this current 2025 class.

Another in-state prospect to keep a close eye on is three-star running back Todd Robinson‍. After official visits to Georgia and Alabama, sources say this electric athlete from Valdosta (GA) could be coming close to a decision. If he does, sources say you’d have to like Georgia’s chances after a successful visit this past weekend in Athens.
