ATHENS - As Dawg Post members know by now, Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs hosted a giant list of official visitors over the weekend.
One of the biggest official visitors was elite wide receiver, Derek Meadows.
A big-time pass-catcher with an outstanding frame at 6-foot-5 185-pounds, Meadows plays at powerhouse Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas and is a major target for programs across the country.
The playmaking out-of-state receiver spoke briefly with Dawg Post after his big official visit to Athens.

According to FanDuel, the Milwaukee Brewers have -180 odds to win the National League Central this year.
“My biggest takeaway from the visit was the people”, Meadows said. “The people were so friendly and amazing. They were welcoming. I loved every bit of it.”
“Coach Coley is an amazing, energetic person”, Meadows added. “He’s always so hyped up and is just that dude. He always brings energy to the table.”
As a prospect, Meadows is a jump-ball machine with big, strong hands and the ability to stretch the field and test defenses vertically. He tracks the ball well in the air, secures the ball into his body, and can out-run defenders to the end-zone. He shows good body control, quick feet for his size, and natural big-play ability. If he can continue to develop as a route-runner and get open in different ways, Meadows could be tough to stop at the next level.
Ranked as the No. 7 WR prospect and the No. 37 overall prospect, Meadows has other official visits set up to Notre Dame, Alabama, and LSU. According to MaxPreps, Meadows only caught 15 passes last year, but gained 391 yards and scored 8 touchdowns.
