ATHENS - If you follow Georgia Bulldog recruiting, you know things get crazy in the summer.

Top Bulldog targets and elite prospects across the country will take important official visits in June, with a lot of them making their commitment in July and August.

Of course, this will be another massive month of June for Kirby Smart and Tray Scott who will receive official visits from two out-of-state defensive line targets.

One is four-star, Kalen Edwards‍. The massive 6-foot-4 325-pounder out of Dyersburg (TN) announced on Tuesday that he will be in Athens for his official visit to Georgia the weekend of June 21. A former Auburn commitment, this Tennessee native will be giving Georgia his full attention that weekend in June. He’s a quick, powerful lineman who can wreck any particular play in the backfield. Georgia wants to clearly get bigger along the defensive line, and that’s what Edwards brings to the table. He’s a guy who demands a double team and could see his ranking rise over time. His potential is easy to see, and with Tray Scott already having a massive nose guard type on the commit list in Stephon Shivers‍, it’s clear the staff wants to continue adding massive bodies in the middle of their line.

Another lineman who set an official visit to Georgia was three-star Javeon Campbell‍. The fast-rising defender stands at a lean 6-foot-5 260-pounds and is ranked as one of the top prospects in Kentucky. The Western Hills standout is coming off a giant junior season where he made 14.5 sacks in just 7.5 games.

He’s explosive off the snap for his size who lived in the backfield last year. He can hold the edge easily in run support, sheds blocks consistently, and knows how to attack the quarterback. He’ll likely start out at a defensive end spot at the next level, but his frame could allow him to move inside at some point down the road. He’s big, active, and could see his ranking increase more and more over the next 9 months. Right now, he’s ranked as the No. 35 DL prospect and the No. 404 overall prospect in the 2025 class. He earned an offer from Tray Scott and the Dawgs back on March 16th and is now set to take his official visit the weekend of June 21st
