CARROLLTON - It’s clear Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have a possible “game-changer” on the way in 5-star defensive lineman, Justus Terry‍.

The 6-foot-5 265-pounder out of Manchester (GA) has been committed to Georgia for over 13 months now and was an easy top performer during the Atlanta Unde Armour Camp on Sunday.

After his dominant performance, the big Bulldog commitment spoke with Dawg Post about his commitment to Georgia, along with another SEC school that still has his attention.

Terry was in Athens last month for a Jr. Day visit but told reporters that he’s also met with Alabama head coach Kalen Debour recently.

“Alabama’s on my radar”, the Georgia commitment said. “They’re right after Georgia. I’ve camped down there since middle school. I’m ready to get down there and meet the rest of the coaching staff. Coach Debour seems like a good coach after meeting him for the first time. My first impression was great. I might visit Alabama again in the spring and then take an official visit there this summer.”

Terry also said he has plans to visit USC on March 23rd with plans to visit Florida and Florida State this spring as well.

According to FanDuel, the Atlanta Braves have +450 odds of winning the 2024 World Series this year.

The versatile, playmaking defender had a lot to say about his visit to Athens back in mid-January.

“Coach Tray Scott and I have a great relationship”, Terry said. “I loved sitting next to coach Smart while watching the basketball game. The atmosphere was crazy. There were great vibes. They’re still recruiting me like I’m not committed. I know I’m committed but they’re still coming hard. I don’t have any set plans to visit this spring but I’ll definitely get back up there.”

Who does Terry want to play with at the next level?

“Zayden Walker and Elijah Griffin”, Terry said. “We talk about it and it’s looking good so far. Zayden at outside linebacker, me on the edge, and Griffin inside, that would be scary.”

Why did Terry commit to Georgia so early in the process?

“I grew up in Georgia”, Terry said. “I was born and raised here. It’s a great school. It’s the home-town state. They have a great staff and great players. I committed early because I want to be part of all that.”

A self-proclaimed barber, Terry said he cuts a lot of hair when he’s not attacking the quarterback and taking visits. He plans to take several official visits this summer, but it’s clear Georgia’s still on Terry’s mind.

As a junior last fall, Terry made 78 tackles, six TFLs, and 13 sacks along with two forced fumbles and two recoveries. He’s ranked as the No. 8 overall prospect in the country for the 2025 class.
