ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are off and running in the 2025 class.
After singing the No. 1 class in the 2024 cycle, Smart and his staff are off to an excellent start early in the 2025, holding five early commitments.
What do they all have in common?
They’re all in-state prospects.
After signing just two top 10 prospects in Georgia last year (KJ Bolden and Demello Jones), it’s clear the Dawgs are looking to do better in this current cycle.
The Bulldogs have one in-state five-star on the list already in DL Justus Terry and another borderline five-star in TE Elyiss Williams.
Williams is a big, athletic, multi-sport star from Camden County (GA) coming off a fantastic junior season where he caught 25 passes for 530 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s a nightmare to cover for linebackers and too big for defensive backs to handle down the field. He’s a big target in the passing game with a high ceiling as a major weapon down the field.
The 6-foot-7 235-pounder is currently ranked as the No. 1 TE prospect and the No.17 overall prospect in the country for the 2025 class.

Right now, the Duke Blue Devils have +500 odds to reach the Final Four next month according to FanDuel.
As for Terry, the Manchester defender is a physically imposing prospect with a powerful, muscular frame. The 6-foot-5 275-pounder was a bully in the middle of Manchester’s defensive line all season long, shredding blocks with ease and making play after play in the backfield.
His first step is impressive for his size and he can blow up any particular play if not double-teamed or blocked correctly. He looks like a 5-star physically and played like one during his junior season, making 78 tackles, six TFLs and 13 sacks. He also forced two fumbles and recovered two more.
Terry is ranked as the No. 2 DL prospect, the No. 2 prospect in Georgia, and the No. 8 overall prospect in the 2025 class.
Then there’s Jadon Perlotte. The playmaking defender out of Buford is coming off a giant junior season and is one of the top linebackers across the South. The versatile 6-foot-3 200-pounder is ranked as the No. 54 overall prospect and the No. 8 linebacker prospect in the country. He’s also ranked as the No. 10 overall prospect in Georgia.
Perlotte made 55 tackles last season and 8 TFLs last fall along with two sacks and one INT. He can stop the run in the middle of the field while rushing the quarterback off the edge. He also showed the ability to make plays in coverage. Other schools are still pushing, but right now, Perlotte appears to be locked in with Georgia.
Another four-star commitment is Alpharetta (GA) pass-catcher, Ethan Barbour. At 6-foot-3 220-pounds, Barbour plays the game like a big receiver. He showed tremendous ball skills last season with easy big-play ability. He was consistently one of the best players on the field all season long and was a top target for tight ends coach Todd Hartley from the very beginning. As a junior last year, Barbour caught 49 passes for 966 yards and 12 touchdowns. He has game-changing ability and could make an early impact when he gets to Athens. He’s ranked as the No. 10 TE prospect, the No. 26 prospect in Georgia, and the No. 190 overall prospect in the country for the 2025 class.
Another weapon in the commit list is three-star Bo Walker. An explosive back with a compact 5-foot-8 190-pound frame, Waker brings breakaway speed while having the ability to break tackles. He runs behind his pads and picks up big yards after first contact. A multi-sport athlete out of Cedar Grove, Walker brings a promising skill-set and is coming off a fantastic junior season. He’s ranked as the No. 38 RB prospect, the No. 49 prospect in Georgia, and the No. 476 overall prospect in the country.
With five peach-state prospects already on board, the Dawgs will look to push for even more in-state five-stars in the 2025 class. If they continue this run and can do their best to lock down the state, Georgia will likely push for another No.1 class.
Other in-state prospects to keep an eye on include...
5-star DL Elijah Griffin (No. 1 in GA, No. 3 overall)
5-Star QB Julian Lewis (No. 3 in GA, No. 9 overall) - Southern Cal commit
5-star LB Zayden Walker (No. 4 in GA, No. 10 overall)
4-star OL Josh Petty (No. 6 in GA, No. 18 overall)
4-star RB Ousmane Kromah (No. 8 in GA, No. 36 overall)
