ATHENS - Kirby Smart, Mike Bobo, and the Georgia Bulldogs got some good news recently on the recruiting trail as they’ve been named in the “top four” for a 2025 quarterback target.

That would be Spring-Ford (PA) gunslinger, Matt Zollers.

The 6-foot-3 200-pound Pennsylvania native is currently ranked as the No. 14 QB prospect and the No. 202 overall prospect in the 2025 class. He earned an offer from Mike Bobo and the Dawgs back on January 19th and was in Athens for a visit back on January 27th.

Now, Georgia has made his top four along with Penn State, Missouri, and Pitt. Sources say the Nittany Lions are the favorites to land the in-state passer, but if Zollers gets back down to Athens this spring and once again in the summer, it will be hard to rule out Bobo and Georgia.

Right now, the Purdue Boilermakers have +700 odds to win the NCAA Tournament this upcoming season according to FanDuel.

Georgia took just one quarterback in the 2024 cycle in four-star Ryan Puglisi, but they can still add just one in the 2025 class if they want.

The highest-ranked quarterback target is 5-star Julian Lewis‍, but 4-star Ryan Montgomery‍ is another to keep an eye on.

As for Zollers, the dual-threat quarterback threw for 2,917 yards and 37 touchdowns last year while rushing for 431 yards and seven scores. He’s a good athlete with a promising arm, so the potential is easy to see.
