ATHENS - As you know by now, the peach state is home to one of the very best high school quarterbacks in the country.

Of course, I’m talking about 5-star Julian Lewis‍.

The incredibly accurate and productive gunslinger out of Carrollton (GA) recently re-classified to the 2025 class, and while he’s still committed to Southern Cal, Lewis made his way back to Georgia this weekend for his final visit before the dead period.

The superstar quarterback has taken plenty of visits over the last 12 months, but it’s clear Kirby Smart and the Dawgs has his attention more than ever after this past weekend’s visit.

So what makes Georgia different from everyone else?

According to FanDuel, the Kansas City Chiefs are 2.5-point underdogs against the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl.

“The difference between Georgia and everywhere is the type of guys you get to spend the day with. The lineman are bigger and the DB’s are longer. I’ve been on a lot of visits, and the offensive staff meeting by position at Georgia was crazy. They’ve literally had success at every position.”

Lewis knows what the culture is like at Georgia. it’s very similar to the situation he’s currently in at Carrollton.

Winning is all that matters. You work hard, compete, grow, and do what it takes to win. Lewis has been a winner everywhere he’s at, and this fall, during his final high school season, Lewis will try to bring Carrollton a state championship.

Then, it’s off to college. Right now Lewis is committed to play for Lincoln Riley and the Trojans, but that isn’t stopping Georgia and other major programs from recruiting him. Lewis is elite, and the Dawgs want him badly.

As a prospect, Lewis has it all at the quarterback position. He’s an incredibly gifted passer with pinpoint accuracy, good footwork in the pocket, outstanding arm strength, and the ability to push the ball down the field. He’s a leader who can put the offense on his back. He’s smart, takes care of the football, and consistently puts the ball exactly where it needs to be.

As a freshman in 2022, Lewis threw for an eye-opening 4,118 yards and 48 touchdowns, leading the Trojans to the 7A state title game. As a sophomore last year, Lewis threw for just over 3,000 yards with 48 more touchdowns and just two INTs.

The 6-foot-1 185-pounder is ranked as the No. 9 overall prospect in the country and the No. 2 QB prospect in the 2025 class.
