ATHENS - While the 2024 NFL Draft is still three long months ahead, it’s never too early to take an early look at what might happen when the Draft rolls arounds in April.

Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have turned into an NFL factory over the last several years, dominating the NFL Draft on a yearly basis now.

According to ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr, the Dawgs will continue to send players into the first round of April’s draft.

In fact, Kiper has four Bulldogs going in the first round of his latest 2024 NFL Mock Draft.

The long-time NFL Draft analyst has Georgia legend Brock Bowers being the first Bulldog selected, being picked at No. 5 overall by the Los Angeles Chargers.

Bowers, widely considered the greatest college football tight end of all time, won two national championships during his time in Athens along with two John Mackey Awards, given to the best tight end in college football.

Bowers ended his Georgia career with 175 receptions for 2,538 yards and 26 receiving touchdowns.

The second Bulldog off the board in Kiper’s mock draft is Kamari Lassiter who is mocked to the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 20. The Steelers love the Georgia Bulldogs and picked offensive tackle Broderick Jones with their 1st round pick in last year’s draft.

The hard-hitting Lassiter made 86 total tackles, 8.5 TFLs, one INT, and15 pass-breakups during his career in Athens, winning two national championships along the way.

Then comes superstar receiver AD Mitchell is Kiper believes will come off the board at No. 28 to the Buffalo Bills. Mitchell may have ended his career with the Texas Longhorns, but he’ll always be a Georgia Bulldog. Mitchell made some of the biggest catches in Bulldog history and scored a touchdown in each of Georgia’s four CFP games during the 2021 and 2022 season. During his two years in Athens, Mitchell caught 38 passes for 560 yards and seven touchdowns.

Finally, Amarius Mims comes off the board at No. 32 where Kiper Jr. has the San Francisco 49ers slotted to select. The massive 6-foot-7 340-pounder was a dominant right tackle for the Bulldogs who dealt with some injuries last season in 2023. When he was healthy, Mims was a dependable pass protector and a reliable run blocker for the Bulldog offense. His size and potential will have NFL GMs drooling over him over the next three months. He looks like an easy 1st-round selection at the moment.
