UGA Football Bulldogs in the NFL, Super Wild Card Weekend

ATHENS, Ga. – Georgia had 19 former Bulldogs represented during Super Wild Card Weekend, with players on both sides of the ball playing a large impact in their respective games. Quay Walker led the Packers with 11 tackles as Green Bay’s defense stifled the Cowboys’ prolific offense, becoming the first seven seed to advance to the divisional round. Matthew Stafford had a career night against the Lions’ defense, throwing for nearly 400 yards and posted a passer rating of 120.9 in the one-point loss. Next week, 12 former Bulldogs will be active as the NFL playoffs continue.

 

Chiefs 26, Dolphins 7

Mecole Hardman Jr., WR – Saw action on 27 offensive snaps for the Chiefs, catching one of his three targets for three yards.

Malik Herring, DE – Recorded on tackle on six snaps for Kansas City.

Channing Tindall, ILB – Posted one tackle on special teams while appearing in 13 total snaps for Miami.

Justin Houston, OLB – Appeared on 22 defensive snaps for the Dolphins, posting one tackle in the loss.

 

Packers 48, Cowboys 32

Quay Walker, ILB – Started at linebacker for Green Bay, racking up a team-best 11 tackles in the win.

Devonte Wyatt, DT – Saw action on 50 defensive snaps for the Packers, posting one tackle.

Matthew Stafford, QB – Completed 25 of his 36 passing attempts for 367 yards and two touchdowns to finish the game with a rating of 120.9. Despite the loss, Stafford now has over 1,500 yards passing and an 11:3 touchdown to interception ratio for Los Angeles in five postseason starts with the team.

Warren McClendon, OT – Was listed as inactive for the Rams due to a coach’s decision.

Derion Kendrick, CB – Saw action on 14 defensive snaps for Los Angeles but recorded no statistics.

 

Bills 31, Steelers 17

James Cook, RB – Started at running back for the Bills, carrying the ball 18 times for 79 yards along with four catches for five yards in the win.

Leonard Floyd, DE – Appeared in 32 defensive snaps for Buffalo, recording four tackles.

Broderick Jones, OT – Started at right tackle for Pittsburgh as the Steelers offense racked up 324 yards.

George Pickens, WR – Started at wide receiver for Pittsburgh, reeling in five passes for 50 yards while recording one rushing attempt for 15 yards. Pickens now has 50 or more receiving yards against Buffalo in each of his two career games against the Bills.

Darnell Washington, TE – Saw action on 23 offensive snaps for the Steelers, recording no statistics.

 

Buccaneers 32, Eagles 9

Jake Camarda, P – Punted the ball three times for Tampa Bay with all three punts landing inside the 20-yard-line. Camarda had a long of 47 yards and an average punt distance of 41.3 yards per attempt.

D’Andre Swift, RB – Started at running back for Philadelphia, carrying the ball 10 times for 34 yards and also had four catches for 32 yards in the loss.

Nolan Smith, OLB – Saw action on 16 defensive snaps for the Eagles, racking up four tackles and half a sack.

Jordan Davis, DT – Started at defensive tackle for Philadelphia, posting two tackles in the loss.

Jalen Carter, DT – Appeared in 37 defensive snaps for the Eagles as he recorded two tackles.

Kelee Ringo, CB – Saw action on both special teams and defense for Philadelphia, posting two tackles.
