League-High 11 UGA Football Bulldogs Named To All-SEC Teams

ATHENS - UGA Football had a league-best 11 members selected to the All-Southeastern Conference football team, the SEC announced Tuesday.
The 2023 list of honorees voted on by the league coaches includes three Bulldogs who have now made multiple appearances on the All-SEC team in their career. They are junior tight end Brock Bowers, junior center Sedrick Van Pran and senior defensive lineman Nazir Stackhouse.
Georgia’s three First Team All-SEC selections on offense this season were Bowers (TE), Van Pran (C) and redshirt sophomore Tate Ratledge (OL). Sophomore Malaki Starks (S) was the lone Bulldog on defense to be named to the First Team.
The Second Team All-SEC selections include junior Carson Beck (QB), senior Xavier Truss (OL), sophomore Mykel Williams (DL), Stackhouse (DL), junior Smael Mondon (LB), junior Kamari Lassiter (DB) and senior Tykee Smith (STAR).
The SEC's individual awards will be released on Wednesday and the Freshman All-SEC Team will be released on Thursday.
Now in their eighth season under the direction of Kirby Smart, the sixth-ranked Bulldogs are 12-1 this year. They will face fifth-ranked Florida State (13-0) in the Capital One Orange Bowl on Dec. 30 at 4 p.m. (ESPN).
