ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the UGA football team have three high-caliber wide receiver commitments in the 2024 class.
We wrote about Nitro Tuggle’s monster game last week, and this week it was four-star Ny Carr who went off.
The electric Colquitt County (GA) star caught seven passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns in week one, but that was nothing compared to what he did in week two.
The speedy 5-foot-11 175-pounder confirmed to Dawg Post that he caught 10 passes and scored four touchdowns during the Packer’s big 47-27 win over Stockbridge.
“I don’t know how man yards I had, but this year is going to be a statement year.”
He’s certainly making a statement through the first two games. A true game-changer at wide receiver, Carr is one of the best in the South when it comes to yards after the catch. He’s dynamic in the screen game and has enough speed to fly past defensive backs down the field.

As for his game against Stockbridge, Carr just couldn’t be stopped.
On one touchdown, Carr snagged a screen pass with one hand, kept his balance, and bolted through the defense with ease. He looked like he was moving in fast-forward compared to everyone else.
He also caught two long touchdowns, showing great ball skills, balance, and the ability to make a catch down the sideline.
He can stop and change directions on a dime and does a great job of catching the ball and tucking it away. Then, it’s all speed. He can fly down the field and won’t be caught from behind by any defender in the area. He’s an excellent route-runner who can create separation on his own.
He’ not the biggest receivers in Georgia, but he’s absolutely one of the fastest, and his speed has been on full display through the first to games of the season.
