ATHENS - The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Georgia Bulldogs have been playing each other in football since 1893, making it one of the oldest rivalries in college football. However, the day in which this game is play on may be in jeopardy.

Also, it is possible that the game will be moved to a different time of year - although it will likely stay in November for the near future.

There are a few reasons why the game may be moved. First, Georgia Tech has fallen on hard times in recent years. The Yellow Jackets have not won a conference championship since 1990, and they have not finished with a winning record since 2016. UGA has exploded since then. As a result, the game has become less competitive.

Second, the game is currently played on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, which is rivalry weekend. Moving the game to a different time of year could give the game more attention.

But the biggest issue here is television. The Georgia Tech-Georgia game is not one of the most-watched college football games rivalry weekend. Moving the game to a different time of year would make it more likely to be watched.
