ATHENS - Georgia Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart had quite an eventful morning at the Regions Tradition pro-am at Greystone Country Club on Wednesday morning.
According to a report from Joseph Goodman of AL.com, some random mutant dog, also known as a chihuahua, sprinted across the driving range Wednesday morning and was heading Kirby’s way while the national champion head coach was warming up.
Smart, along with other celebrities including Charles Barkley, Bo Jackson, SEC commissioner Greg Sankey, and many others were in Birmingham, Alabama for the event that helps raise money for Children’s of Alabama hospital in Birmingham.
That’s all great. Raising money for Children’s hospitals is about as honorable as it gets. Warms the heart.
But where’s the video, Joseph Goodman? You saw rat-like dog escape his home and start running towards the great Kirby Smart and others? All before 9 AM?
Get your phone out, bro. That’s video the world needs to see. If a Dawg Post employee was out there smashing golf balls 300-yards down the range, we’d still stop and get that on video.
You’re either elite or not Mr. AOL.com guy, and you most certainly are not.
Also, can we stop calling chihuahua’s real dogs? It’s an elevated rat at best. I mean, is there an uglier dog breed out there? The Chinese Crested is certainly towards the top.
Apparently, according to Mr. Goodman’s report that I guess we just have to believe, the ugly dog named “Moses” ended up being corralled by someone working at the tournament, and they were able to notify the dog’s owner.
So the dog was safe. Georgia’s two-time national championship coach is safe. And there was a lot of money raised for a great cause.
Some video of the event would’ve been cool, though.
