ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are extending offers left and right across the country, setting themselves up for a bright future over the next several years.
With the staff out on the road looking for new prospects, offers are being extended on a daily basis.
One new offer went out to a four-star running back from Maryland in Iverson Howard. The 5-foot-10 175-pound sophomore told Dawg Post that when he heard the news, it was a moment he’ll never forget.
“This may have been the best day of my life knowing I got a offer from my dream school I’ve been watching since a kid. It really put a smile on my face. I know a lot about the great running backs that came out of Georgia so it means a lot to me knowing I can be one of those greats.”
“I’ve been on an unofficial to Georgia and it was a great experience”, Howard added. “The facility was amazing and the workout program was the best thing about it. I plan to be back again this year. My favorite running back was Nick Chubb but I enjoy watching D’Andre Swift highlights too.”
Howard in ranked in the 247 Composite as the No. 27 RB prospect and the No. 9 overall prospect in Maryland for the 2024 class.

Another offer went out this week to 2025 defensive tackle, Nahsir Taylor. Another Maryland native out of Rock Creek Christian Academy, Taylor is a quick, powerful defensive lineman who lived in the backfield last year as a sophomore. A lean interior lineman with a frame that should allow him to add more muscle and weight over the next several years, Taylor is listed at 6-foot-2 and 260-pounds.
“When I got the offer, I was overly excited”, Taylor said. “The program is very dominant and they are one of the top teams in the nation, if not the number 1 team in the nation.”
