ATHENS - Kirby Smart‘s Georgia Bulldogs unveiled a set of rings to celebrate the trophies they won during the 2022 season.

The Bulldogs, champions of the SEC, Peach Bowl and of all of college football, released to the public a close-up look at their rings from 2022. The Bulldogs are the only team in the history of the College Football Playoff to ever win back-to-back national tittles.

Each player on the 2022 roster, the coaches and staff got a box of four rings with their names engraved on the rings. The box has the Dawgs’ 2022 national title logo on the inside lid of the box.

The celebration caps what has been a historic run for the Bulldogs. Since 2017, Georgia has won two SEC titles, the Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Peach Bowl (2), Rose Bowl Game and two College Football Playoff National titles. Georgia has played in three of the last six CFP National Championship Games.

The Bulldogs are listed as favorites to win the 2023 national title as well. It is expected the Bulldogs will enter the fall as the No. 1 team in the nation. No team has won three national titles in a row in decades.

Kirby and company will have to decide on their starting quarterback as well as fill in the spots where other key players from the 2022 team have moved on. Stetson Bennett, who concluded a historic and improbable college football career, was on hand in Athens to receive his ring.

The Bulldogs have gone 29-1 over the last 30 games. Georgia opens up the 2023 season in Sanford Stadium against Tennessee-Martin in September.
