Georgia Bulldog Coach Kirby Smart Gives Latest Injury Update

ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs start their first spring pactice today, but there will be multiple players who will be out for the entirety of spring practice.
During Smart’s press conference on Tuesday, he confirmed that OLB Marvin Jones Jr, defensive back Dan Jackson, running back Andrew Paul, and linebacker Jalon Walker are all “out” for the spring.

Marvin Jones Jr, a talented pass rusher and one of Georgia’s highest-ranked signees from their 2022 recruiting, saw action in 13 games last year at linebacker and on special teams, making four tackles and one sack last year as a junior. He’ll be out due to a shoulder injury.
Walker, another member of Georgia’s highly-ranked 2022 class, played more and more as the 2022 season went along last year. He played in all 15 games last year, making 9 total tackles and one sack last year as a freshman. He’ll be out due to a shoulder injury.
Dan Jackson, a defensive back who has played plenty of meaningful minutes over the last two years, has made 56 total tackles and one INT during his Bulldog career. He’s out for the spring with a foot injury.
Running back Andrew Paul suffered a season-ending ACL injury prior to the 2022 season, and will now miss an important spring as he continues to recover.
Offensive lineman Joshua Miller, an incoming freshman, will be out duee to a shoulder injury.
