Fox Analyst Shannon Sharpe: "The Best College Football Player Is Jalen Carter"

ATHENS, GA - The regular season is over, Signing Day is around the corner, and Kirby Smart has the Georgia Bulldogs undefeated and headed back to the College Football Playoffs.
It’s a GREAT time to be a Georgia football fan.
Quarterback Stetson Bennett is a Heisman finalist. AD Mitchell is getting healthier. The Bulldogs are ROLLING on the recruiting trail. Everything is coming up Georgia’s way right now.
After Georgia’s big SEC Championship victory over LSU, one Fox Sports analyst came out on “Undisputed” and said the Bulldogs have the best player in college football. However, it’s not Georgia’s Heisman finalist.
“The best player in college football is Jalen Carter,” Fox Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe said. “No. 88. The defensive lineman from Georgia. He’s better than all five guys that went in the first-round last year. Even better than the guy that went No. 1 overall. Skip (Bayless), he picked a grown man up, and waved him around!”

Sharpe got this one right. He took time away from watching the LA Lakers and the Dallas Cowboys this weekend to watch Georgia dominate LSU, and he’s now firmly on the Jalen Carter bandwagon.
We saw him take over games last year and he’s anchoring a Bulldog defensive line that is once again the best in college football.
I think Hendon Hooker, Will Rogers, and Jayden Daniels would all agree with Sharpe’s take on Carter. The big junior is finally close to 100% healthy, and that’s bad news for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Sharpe’s co-host and major Fox Sports personality Skip Bayless agreed with Sharpe, and even went on to say he would have no problem seeing Stetson Bennett win the Heisman Trophy.
“I won’t be mad if Stetson Bennett wins the Heisman Trophy just on career achievements. All he does is make plays. He’s a great college quarterback.”
Say what you want about these two, but they’re great for television, and they both know who the best team is in college football.
It’s the Georgia Bulldogs, and they’re on a mission to win back-to-back national championships this season.
