ATHENS - The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs and coach Kirby Smart are getting ready for a road test at Mississippi State this weekend. But eveyone at SEC shorts is trying to make Alabama feel better after the Tide was knocked out of the College Football Playoff over the weekend.
SEC Shorts, the quick-form comedy team that weights in on the events around the league each week, did a skit this over the weekend showing cast members letting the Tide "win" the College Football Playoff for a day.
“(Alabama) was taking it pretty hard,” one castmember said. "That's when everyone decided to come together and create a playoff experience just for them. So for one day they get to hang out with the playoff and live out those shattered dreams."
But reality hits Alabama real quick. The Tide are ranked No. 1 in the CFP, but the team they will play is No. 4 Georgia.
"I don't want to play Georgia!" Alabama screamed through tears.
The key part is SEC Shorts putting closed captioning in during the video. When Alabama starts crying the captioning reads: "Child cry sounds of knowing what Brock Bowers would to to that secondary."
Then: "Additional crying sounds of knowing that Stetson (Bennett) will always have more rings than (Alabama QB) Bryce (Young)."

The Tide travel to Ole Miss this weekend where former Bama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin and the Rebs await. Kiffin - ever the agitator - posted AL.com reporter John Talty's book about Saban on his twitter account Tuesday. The title of the book, "The Leadership Secrets of Nick Saban" was in the photo along with a red maker.
Meanwhile, Georgia, the team the Alabama character feared, heads to State for a night game on ESPN. The Dawgs are considered a 16-5 point favorite to win as of Tuesday night. Should the Dawgs, Kirby Smart's program will have won the SEC East for the fifth time in six seasons.
The Georgia Bulldogs WIN the 2021 NATIONAL TITLE!
