ATHENS - The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs and coach Kirby Smart are getting ready for a road test at Mississippi State this weekend. But teams that lost over the weekend - like the Tennessee Vols - need to talk with someone.
SEC Shorts, the quick-form comedy team that weights in on the events around the league each week, did a skit this over the weekend showing cast members talking with various teams that lost on Saturday.
The character playing Tennessee was scheming the Vols’ way to the playoff and beyond, but the SEC’s “wellness checks” wonder if the Vols are nervous.
“Why would I be nervous?” Tennessee asks. “What do I have to be nervous about? All we have to do is win out. And Georgia has to win out… and they also have to win the SEC. And if Bo Nix would stop being Superman! That would be awesome.”

The Dawgs took down Tennessee in a rare No. 1 vs. No. 1 matchup. The 27-13 final put the Dawgs in firm control of the SEC East. Should Georgia beat either State or Kentucky on the road over the next two weeks Georgia will win the East for the fifth time in six years.
Meanwhile, the Vols will have to wait to see what happens in the College Football Playoff rankings Tuesday night. It will be important that Tennessee only falls so far if it wants to get back into the national title picture. Meanwhile, LSU, which was blown out by the Vols at home, is moving its way up the rankings, and can still win the SEC title.
The close of the video shows LSU giving Alabama a so-called “Beat Bama Burger” which game with a label to “add salt”.
