ATHENS - As you know by now, the biggest college football game of the regular season takes place in Athens, Georgia this weekend as the No.1 Georgia Bulldogs host the No. 2 Tennessee Volunteers.

It’s one of the biggest games in Sanford Stadium history. There are “Game of the Century” vibes. College Gameday will be in town.

Of course, major prospects from across the country will be in town as well. Multiple 5-stars and other major targets and commitments will be in town, as well as other prospects committed elsewhere.

News broke last week that high four-star Justice Haynes‍ will be in town. The UGA legacy and Buford (GA) star was a major target in the 2023 class but spurned the Bulldogs over the summer when he committed to Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide. Getting Haynes on campus is good news, but right now, sources say he’s still 100% locked in with Alabama, who play on the road at LSU on Saturday night.

A running back that Georgia fans do need to keep a close eye on is four-star back Jeremiah Cobb‍. A current Auburn commitment out of Montgomery Catholic Preparatory (AL), Cobb is one of the more productive backs in Alabama and earned an offer from Dell McGee and the Bulldogs last month. Dawg Post confirmed Cobb will visit Georgia this weekend, and with Auburn not having a head coach, Cobb’s recruitment could get very interesting sooner than later.

A breakout running back in the peach-state, Dawg Post has confirmed that three-star Jordan Louie, a West Virginia commitment out of Meadowcreek (GA), plans to take another visit to Athens this weekend. The speedy back does not currently hold an offer from Georgia, but if an offer were to come his way, you could immediately put him on flip watch.

A wide receiver that we’ve mentioned before, Louisville commitment DeAndre Moore‍, plans to take his official visit to Georgia this weekend. A current four-star and one of the top receivers on the West Coast, he’s a strong, lean receiver with excellent hands and overall ball skills at 6-foot-0 185-pounds. Sources say he’s high on Georgia’s board so he’s a legitimate prospect committed elsewhere that Georgia fans should know about.

Moore won’t be the only wide receiver target committed elsewhere in town. Speedy wideout Anthony Evans‍, who chose Oklahoma over Georgia in late August, has made plans to be in Athens this weekend. The Sooners aren’t having a great season, so the Judson (TX) playmaker might be giving Georgia a second look. Sources say assistant Bryan McClendon wants to take another receiver in this class, and it could likely come down to Moore and Evans in the end.

Dawg Post also confirmed that elite running back Kam Davis‍, a Florida State commitment in the 2024 class, will also be in Athens this weekend. The Albany native is strong to Florida State at the moment, but sources say he’s still open to Georgia benind the scenes. One of the biggest playmakers in South Georgia, Davis, who plays quarterback right now, has rushed 95 times this season for 826 yards (8.7 ypc) and 9 touchdowns.
