BREAKING: Georgia Bulldogs Ranked No. 1 Heading into Huge Game with No. 2 Tennessee Vols

ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs remained the No. 1 team in the country after a a lopsided 42-20 win over the Florida Gators on Saturday. 

Save a road fight at Missouri, Georgia has won all its games by not fewer than than 17 points. At 8-0, the Bulldogs’ host No. 2 Tennessee this weekend. The Vols inched up one spot to be tied with Ohio State at No. 2. The game, which will be broadcast by CBS at 3:30, is perhaps the most-anticipated game of the college football season. 

The winner of the contest will almost certainly win the SEC East, and will likely be ranked No. 1 in the following week’s College Football Playoff rankings. 

UGA had 30 first-place votes in the AP poll this week with Ohio State getting 15. The Vols had 18 first-place votes. Michgan and Clemson round out the top five in the AP Poll.
