Georgia Bulldogs Shine in Scrimmage Highlights
ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs released a few highlights of the first full scrimmage of the spring.
Stetson Bennett, Kearis Jackson, Kendall Milton and Kenny McIntosh were just a few of the players featured in the highlights. One of Bennett’s scrambles, which was reported in Saturday night’s What We Are Hearing on Dawg Post, was one of the clips from the film. On the play Bennett rolls to his right with the football in is right hand and sprints down the right sideline. A few clips later Bennett is shown throwing a ball from the pocket to Jackson. The ball was delivered a bit behind Jackson, who was running from the left to the right, but the Peach County native reached back with his right hand to secure a one-handed catch before moving on in the play.
Georgia is considered a major contender to win the 2022 national title. Fan Duel lists the Bulldogs as +350 to win the national title this season. Georgia’s annual spring game, known as G Day, will take place on ESPN2 at 1 PM EST.
Carson Beck was also featured in the highlights before one of Milton’s explosive plays - again down the right sideline. Another throw from Bennett connects with AD Mitchell. The highlights end with a long run from Milton down the sideline.
Georgia defeated Alabama 33-18 to win the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship Game in Indianapolis. Georgia will start its season in Atlanta against former defensive coordinator Dan Lanning and his Oregon Ducks in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game the first full Saturday of the college football season in September.
