ATHENS - Kirby Smart, Fran Brown, and the Georgia Bulldogs add their first verbal commitment in the 2024 class in four-star defensive back, Antione Jackson.
One of the top 2024 CB prospects in Florida, the Dillard High School defensive back stands at 6-foot-0 170-pounds and is one of the top cover corners in the South.
As a prospect, Jackson is a ball-hawking cornerback with length and natural instincts. He plays the ball well in the air, and although he’s young, he knows how to read the quarterback and bait him into a throw. He has a nose for the football and made a lot of plays last season as a sophomore. He has a lengthy frame, he’s athletic, and when the ball is in the air, there’s a good chance he’s coming down with it.
The Fort Lauderdale native has been on Georgia’s radar for some time now, and during a visit to Georgia, he decided to pull the trigger and commit to the Bulldogs over offers from Florida, Auburn, among others.
Jackson is ranked as the No. 7 CB prospect, the No. 15 prospect in Florida, and the No. 52 overall prospect in the country for the 2024 class according to the 247 Composite Rankings
