5-Star QB Arch Manning Set To Visit Georgia This Weekend

Multiple reports, with the first coming from 247 Sports, have indicated today that elite quarterback target Arch Manning will be in Athens this weekend, and Dawg Post has now confirmed the reports to be true.
Sources say the 5-star quarterback and nephew of Hall of Fame QB Peyton Manning is starting narrow down his recruitment, and Dawg Post has been told the Bulldogs have been a team towards the top of his list for months now. The top-ranked prospect in the entire 2022 class, Manning was in Athens last fall to watch the Bulldogs take down South Carolina the weekend of September 28th.
Sources say Manning will be visiting Georgia on March 18th and will visit Texas next week. The Bulldogs are loaded with talented quarterbacks right now, but we’ve seen Kirby Smart land multiple five-star QBs in the past no matter who is currently on the roster.
Even after signing five-star Brock Vandagriff in the 2021 class and four-star Gunner Stockton in the 2022 class, Dawg Post continues to hear Georgia is in an excellent position to land the elite gunslinger out of New Orleans. Sources say he had a fantastic visit back in September, and the head coaching stability in Athens is something that stands out to the Manning family behind the scenes.
As a prospect, Manning can do it all in a 6-foot-4 215-pound frame. He has a rocket arm, has great footwork in the pocket, and knows how to take off and run for a big gain. He’s a natural at the position and has all the tools needed to be an elite quarterback at the next level.
Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas, among others are believed to still be in the mix for the nation’s top prospect. Sources also say that a commitment is expected to come before his senior season. Right now, the Bulldogs have put themselves in a great spot, and they have another chance to win him over this upcoming weekend.
