Alabama crushes Georgia 115-82, Bulldogs lose second straight game

Alabama had Georgia’s number again, but this time it was on the basketball court, as the Crimson Tide did indeed roll.

Georgia (12-8, 5-8) fell 115-82 to Alabama (17-5, 12-1) after the Crimson Tide gave them a lesson in shooting from the perimeter. Alabama has cemented themself as the best team in the Southeastern Conference.

There really isn’t much else to say about this game other than Alabama was the much better team, and the way they shot the basketball was absolutely ridiculous. The Tide finished shooting 64.3% from the floor and 60% from the three-point line. Those numbers are absurd and ultimately led to their high final score.

The polar opposite was the case for Georgia. The Bulldogs finished with a 10.9% three-point percentage.  Georgia is not going to win games against good teams if they cannot put the ball in the basket.

KD Johnson again led Georgia, this time scoring 24 points in the loss as the Bulldogs have now lost two straight games to teams who are simply just superior.

The last leg of Georgia’s three-game stretch against the three best teams in the SEC will take place at Stegeman Coliseum this time, where the Bulldogs will host Missouri. The Tigers are currently ranked no. 10 in the nation.
