Former Bulldog All-American Roquan Smith continues to prove why he’s one of the best overall defenders in the NFL. The Chicago Bears got it right in 2018 when they selected Roquan Smith with the 8th overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft.
It’s an absolute travesty that Smith wasn’t selected as a Pro Bowler this year when he was CLEARLY deserving of it. He proved once again why he’s arguably the best linebacker in all of football as he picked off two passes today against the Jaguars.
Coming into today, Smith has made 128 tackles which is 5th in the NFL. He’s also recorded four sacks, 17 TFLs, and forced one fumble. He had zero INTs heading into today’s game, and now he has two INTs on the season.
At Georgia, Smith won the 2017 Butkus Award as college football’s top linebacker. IF he continues the pace he’s currently on, he should be recognized as the best linebacker in the NFL sooner than later.

In other news, former Bulldog legend Nick Chubb continues to run through the NFL and prove why he’s one of the top backs in the league. He hasn’t been stopped all year, and the Jets couldn’t stop him either. Chubb found the end-zone today which has been a very common theme in 2020.
Chubb was drafted by the Browns in the 2nd round of the 2018 draft. Coming into today, Chubb has rushed 165 times for 931 yards and 10 TDs. In his career, Chubb has 655 rushes for 3,421 yards and 26 touchdowns. He’s currently 7th in the NFL is rushing yards so far in the 2020 season.
Chubb is a college football and SEC legend after a remarkable career in Athens, rushing for 4,769 yards and 44 TDs. He ranks 2nd all-time in the SEC in career rushing yards.
