Auburn Tigers head football coach Alex Golesh had a lot to say about the No.1-ranked Georgia Bulldogs this week as his team heads to Athens for another matchup in the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry.

"Number one team in the country, and you watch it all three phases, they certainly look that way offensively, man. The quarterback is a really, really good player. Makes a lot of things go. He doesn't make a ton of mistakes. You could tell he's a veteran guy who's played in the system, that gets the ball to the right places, can move it with his feet, can escape.”

Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton is coming off a phenominal game against Alabama, going 18-22 for just under 250 passing yards and two total touchdowns.

"He can create with his feet has only gotten better in that regard,” Golesh added. “They’ve got a deep running back room. They’re physical up front. Then the tight ends. That's a phenomenal room with four guys. Use them all. They all have different skill-sets. They’re a physical group that can also create in the pass game.”

Stockton looked to the tight ends often during Georgia’s 20-17 win over the Crimson Tide, delivering big passes to Lawson Luckie, Jaden Reddell, Ethan Barbour, and even Elyiss Williams with the game on the line.

According to FanDuel, the Arizona Wildcats have +2000 odds of winning the national championship next spring.

"The receivers, they do a really good job of creating things down the field for those guys. They use them in the short quick game. On the perimeter and as an extension of their run game. So a really complete offense. And they do a really good job knowing who they are. And the quarterback operates really well.”

"I think the offensive line has done a really, really good job of one, protecting them, two, creating a really physical advantage in the run game all year. Defensively, it's kind of a mirror image. They’re really big, really stout, really physical.”

The Bulldogs are ranked 10th in total defense across the country giving up just 261 yards a game. They’re elite against the run, giving up just 75 yards a game on the ground. They also rank 10th nationally in scoring defense, giving up an average of 14 points per game.

“Then in the back end, that secondary is real. Both corners can really cover. They do a really good job of taking what you do away in a lot of really different ways. They’re really good job schematically, week to week, of finding ways to affect the quarterback. The blitz packages are unique. And then the personnel is really, really good.

"So they're not just a ton of holes that you can expose. We got to play physical. As you do every week in this league, you can't turn the football over. You've got to maximize possessions. But an impressive team that’s extremely well coached. We’ll have to be able to handle the crowd noise and handle the environment. Like a lot of weeks in this league, that'll be a huge key to our success offensively."

Kirby Smart is 10-1 against Auburn as Georgia’s head coach hoping to win his tenth-consecutive win over the Tigers this weekend. Georgia’s 18-3 against Auburn since 2006 and lead the all-time series 66–56–8.
