Kirby, Dawgs Add Darris Smith to 2022 Class

ATHENS - Georgia added another commitment to its 2022 class on Thursday. 

This time Appling County DL Darris Smith picked the Bulldogs over a few schools. He is one of five commits Kirby Smart has for the class. 

“Smith has been picking up a bunch of offers here lately,” Dawg Post recruiting analyst Matt DeBary said. “But he’s pretty new on the scene, so he’s not really well known to folks outside hardcore recruiting.”

Long and lean, Smith plays defensive end for Appling. He picked the Bulldogs over Tennessee, Auburn and Miami.
