ATHENS - Kirby Smart said Wednesday that one Richard LeCounte, who was injured in a vehicle accident Saturday night, had left the hospital.
“Richard LeCounte has been released from the hospital,” Smart said on a call with reporters. “He was able to get some treatment yesterday.”
Smart said Monday that he did not expect LeCounte to play against No. 8 Florida on Saturday. The defensive back was named as one the SEC Players of the Week for his performance during UGA’s 14-3 win over Kentucky.
Smart indicated that Chris Smith and Lewis Cine would likely play in the secondary without LeCounte available for the game.
