ATHENS - Georgia has been favored in all but one game against Kentucky since 1993.

That mark continued Sunday as early betting lines put the Bulldogs as a 13-point favorite to beat the Cats in Lexington. Georgia is coming off an off week. The Cats are recovering from a 20-10 loss at Missouri.

The line means the Bulldogs had “about” an 83% chance to win the game on Saturday.

Georgia was bumped down to the No. 5 team in the country in both polls on Sunday as Ohio State jumped both Georgia and Notre Dame to wind up at No. 3. Clemson remained No. 1, and Alabama stayed at No. 2.

The Wildcats are 2-3, and struggled to throw the ball against Missouri. The Cats played two QBs during the loss, but managed only 47 yards passing on the day. Kentucky ended the game with only 145 yards of total offense.

UGA IN COLD WEATHER

Georgia’s trip to Lexington could be one of the coldest games of the year for the program in some time. Projected to be at or just under 50 degrees at kickoff, UGA at UK will be one of only 16 games since 2013 to start with the temperature under 55 degrees.

UGA is 14-2 since 2013 in games where kickoff is at 55 degrees or fewer. Kirby Smart's teams are 6-1 in those conditions. Georgia has played more cold-weather games against Kentucky (4 since 2013) than any other program it plays.

The coldest game at kickoff was Georgia’s 2014 win over Auburn, which was a 38 degrees at kickoff.
