Kirby Smart: "George Pickens Is Growing Up"

Sophomore receiver George Pickens is a superstar.

That’s safe to say after an incredible freshman season hauling in 48 passes for 727 yards and 8 touchdowns. He went full AJ Green on the Baylor Bears in the Sugar Bowl, catching 12 passes for 175 yards and one touchdown.

The physical gifts are easy to see, but Kirby Smart told reporters on Tuesday that he’s looking for Pickens to take on more of a leadership role on the offense this year.
