CBS announced Tuesday that it will broadcast the UGA-Alabama game in primetime.
The move by CBS comes as no surprise to insiders, which expect the matchup between two of the three last SEC champions to score big in the ratings. This is the second year in a row the Bulldogs will take up CBS’s primetime spot.
Last year Georgia’s win over Notre Dame was on prime time on CBS was watched by 9.29 million viewers. In the last eight years (2012, 2017, 2018), Alabama and Georgia have combined to give college football three of the most-watched college football games of the last decade.
