BREAKING: AP Poll Released - Where Does UGA Rank?

ATHENS - College football’s rankings are fully out now, and there is a consensus on where the Bulldogs rank.

That’s No. 4 after the Associated Press and Coaches’ Poll both ranked the Dawgs at that spot coming into the season. Ohio State, which checks in at No. 2 in the pre-season AP Poll, has said it will not play football this fall.

The AP has said that it will rank teams in the preseason, but not any further if those programs don’t play. No. 7 Penn State and No. 9 Oregon will also sit the season out.

Georgia ended last year as the No. 3 team in the country after a 12-2 and Sugar Bowl championship. This is the first time in UGA history the program has started the season in the top five in three consecutive years.

Georgia will play No. 3 Alabama, No. 8 Florida, No. 11 Auburn and No. 25 Tennessee this year. The SEC is playing an all-league schedule in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
