Insiders Not Stunned with Change at UGA: What We Are Hearing

ATHENS - One insider at UGA was confident before the Sugar Bowl that Kirby Smart was not going to stick with the coaching staff he had on offense. Something would change. 

“He’s not going to stand still,” that person said in December. “He sees what’s going on out there.”

Georgia’s offense struggled from the South Carolina game on in 2019. Even before that game, the Bulldogs seemed to lack the sort of explosion they had in the previous two seasons. Kirby was asked on Signing Day if he thought about brining former UGA offensive coordinator Mike Bobo in for that job.
