What We Are Hearing: On Jacksonville: "We Were Trying to Thread the Needle"

ATHENS - The announcement on Friday that UGA and the Gators were extending the long-standing agreement to play in Jacksonville wasn’t much of a surprise. 

But it did come with a caveat - the new contract would only be for two years. It has a two-year extension that’s allowed, but the agreement is only through 2023.

“It allows the school to have a look it every two years. All parties were comfortable with the two-year extension,” UGA AD Greg McGarity told Dawg Post.
