ATHENS - The announcement on Friday that UGA and the Gators were extending the long-standing agreement to play in Jacksonville wasn’t much of a surprise.
But it did come with a caveat - the new contract would only be for two years. It has a two-year extension that’s allowed, but the agreement is only through 2023.
“It allows the school to have a look it every two years. All parties were comfortable with the two-year extension,” UGA AD Greg McGarity told Dawg Post.
