Tye Fagan Becomes Tom Crean's First Commit at UGA

April 30, 2018

ATHENS - Upson-Lee guard Tye Fagan became the first commit of the Tom Crean era on Monday.

Fagan is a consensus three-star prospect who appeared headed to mid major basketball before another undefeated season at Upson-Lee culminated in a 70-54 win over St. Pius X to win the state title.

“This has been a long process,” Fagan said in a produced release on Twitter. “But it has been a process I have enjoyed. I’ve thought about it, and I just keep coming back to the same conclusion… ain’t no place like home.”

Fagan makes the third player in UGA’s current class. He will join Norcross F Jojo Toppin and Johnson F Amanze Ngumezi as members of Georgia's 2018 signing class.
