UGA Expected to Win 10+ Games Again in 2019
ATHENS - Las Vegas has set Georiga’s regular season win total for over-under bets at 10.5.
That’s the same as it was a year ago when the Bulldogs went 11-1. Just like a year ago, Alabama and Clemson have totals set at 11. Meanwhile Florida, which exceeded expectations last season (U/O at 7.5 for 2018 season) with nine regular season wins, comes into the fall with its over-under number at nine.
Auburn (8), LSU (9), Mississippi State (8) and Texas A&M (7) were the other SEC teams listed. Teams with former UGA quarterbacks also have lofty expectations as well - Ohio State (Justin Fields) and Washington (Jacob Eason) both have over-under numbers set at ten.
So is 10.5 about right for Georgia?
The schedule is pretty tame at first, but Notre Dame, which has an over-under of nine, looms on Sept. 21. After a week off, the SEC season really begins for the Dawgs. A trip to Tennessee comes before home dates against Carolina and Kentucky in back-to-back October weekends.
Another week off hits just before the Gators. Then UGA hosts Missouri, travels to Auburn and hosts Texas A&M before the season finale at Tech.
Dawg Post subscriber and resident degenerate gambler Purple Brave forecasts that the Dawgs will be double-digit favorites in each game they play with the exception of the Florida game (UGA -7) and at Auburn (UGA -8.5).
So it might seem that placing money on the over would be another smart bet this season. The Bulldogs have hit the over in back-to-back years... twice going 11-1.
Here are the predictive lines Purple Brave set for each game of the 2019 season as it stands today. The percentage next to each game is the corresponding chance the Bulldogs have to win that particular contest with said betting line.
