Hahaha what I meant was based on the White trajectory getting into the tourney and winning a game is the next step I'd like to see. Especially with the contract extension. Show me.

todays game is what worries me in the tourney
a team that slows down and makes us play half court offense in which we are so bad

I would not be surprised if we hit a rough patch. The second half of the TX game was a microcosm of the early White teams - utter second half collapse. Still holding out hope for something better than a 10-12 seed.

I am now worried if we even make the tourney this year

Concur. And my making this point on the Porch was met with rebuke

As I said, we'll see.

Mike White deserves all the credit for pulling our program out of a full-on dumpster fire.

Get to NCAA. Win a game. Small ask IMO.

Agreed. This program's turnaround is commendable. I think winning an NCAA tournament game is a good goal, but getting to the tournament 2 years in a row is a good accomplishment as well

White better slow his roll. He up and wins a game - or be still my heart two - in the tourney I might have to expect a three peat with a 5-6 seed next year.

By early media accounts St. Louis should not be able to hang with us in any facet of the game.

So we'll lose

My hope is that the lessons of last year and last week are fresh, and we come out focused and on fire.

If we handle business, I can see us playing with Michigan. Visions of Purdue 96.

Saint Louis plays with great pace and is elite shooting the 3 - they are 2nd in the NCAA in 3-point percentage. They have 4 players getting regular minutes who shoot better than 40% from 3. Opponents shoot only 29.4% from the 3-point line, and that's 5th best in the country. They are 1st overall in field goal percentage allowed. If the game is a 3-point shooting contest, we are likely to lose.

That's the bad news.

The good news? They finished 3-3 and have not been playing great basketball. Some of that is due to a foot injury that has slowed Robbie Avila some. Avila vs. Somto is going to be fascinating - it'd be hard to find two more different big men.

Where is Georgia's advantage? Saint Louis doesn't force a ton of turnovers, but they turn it over a lot. They also allow opponents to get to the free throw line a lot. The best news? They are not a good offensive rebounding team.

So how do we win? Be aggressive, force turnovers, contest 3-point shots, and clean the defensive glass. The best version of Georgia beats these guys 10/10 times.

When is the last time we saw the best version of Georgia in a neutral site game? No comment, I suppose...
