On the one hand, it'd be nice to see us put teams away a little earlier. A 15-point lead got all the way down to 6 before we finally slammed the door with about two minutes left.Microwave said:

On the other hand, the game never really felt in doubt. It took a few heroic shots to keep MSM close. That's not to say our defense was great - it wasn't, and Coach White emphasized this multiple times in the postgame - but it was good enough when it counted.
I remain very skeptical of this team, but I'm anxious to see what they've got in store for conference play. The next two should be wins (though UNF bombs away, so 3-point defense will be key), so there will be plenty of momentum heading into Mizzou. It's going to be very interesting to see how minutes are doled out once the rotations settle.
17-18 wins feels about right. But let's see how it plays out.

I agree, we are not living in a perfect world, so ugly wins like this will happens. All that matters is we get the wins we need to stay competitive in SEC play and I think this team is still figuring out how good they will and can be! No game is ever a perfect one, I'll always take a dawg win! See you all Friday night for another slug fest! NF likes the 3 ball and our defense will have to be on point!!
