All signs I've heard point to the Dawgs. A friend of mine has a friend who is a Gonzaga booster and that booster told my buddy a few weeks ago that Gonzaga was losing a recruit to UGA. It could only be Newell. Plus, a FL recruiting "guru" has also predicted Newell to UGA.
Newell is the 1st shoe to drop and the KEY to our class. I read a week or two ago that Rooths was "waiting on Newell". If they want to play together, then Rooths will be second.
I would love to sign Reid, but I'm hearing more and more that it's Bama for him. Still, he may want to play with Newell. Reid is a combo forward - can play either 3 or 4. Not sure we can sign all 3 of these guys because their skill sets overlap. We need a post and some guards in this class, as well. But I'm hearing almost nothing beyond these 3. There is a guard in MN that we made the final 4 or 5 for, but he hasn't announced yet.
Also hearing that our NIL game is REALLY picking up in hoops. That is great news if we want to compete....
